Stefan Osterwalder

Stefan has been with Carbotech since 2025 and works in the field of pollutant consulting. His focus is on the investigation, measurement and consulting of air pollutants, especially in workplaces and indoor spaces. He specialises in mercury and PFAS. Stefan worked for nine years as a scientist at the University of Zurich, ETH Zurich, Université Grenoble Alpes and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU).

Education and training:

• Master of Science in Environmental Geosciences, University of Basel
• PhD in Geosciences on the topic of atmospheric mercury emissions and deposition, University of Basel

 

Memberships and expert activities:

• Peer reviewer for international journals in the field of pollutants
