Metabo is a manufacturer of high-quality power tools with headquarters in Germany. In this project, we carried out a materiality analysis in accordance with GHG (double materiality) and identified key areas of action in the environmental, social and economic dimensions.
As part of a workshop with various stakeholders, possible relevant sustainability topics were first developed, which were then concretised and evaluated in a large-scale external stakeholder survey.
Further inputs such as the climate footprint and financial and HR data completed the foundation of the materiality matrix. The matrix, in combination with the footprint calculation, provides Metabo with a comprehensive basis for setting up a sustainability strategy and fulfilling the reporting requirements.
