On behalf of Pax, Carbotech calculated the climate and environmental footprint across all three scopes in accordance with the GHG Protocol. All aspects relevant to operations such as energy, heat, capital goods, business travel, commuting, etc. were taken into account. The footprints of the financial and property investments were added in a separate project.
As a result, Pax now has a transparent operational balance sheet that identifies the hotspots of environmental impact and creates a database for further strategy and target definition. In order to tackle these areas directly, Carbotech has calculated proposed measures and their potential for reducing the footprint and discussed the possibilities, opportunities and risks with business performance and the people responsible.
To support the implementation, Carbotech continues to support the customer with a consultancy mandate. This flexible mandate allows Pax’s sustainability managers to share their ideas with an external expert, discuss new approaches and procedures and address their questions.
