Bühnen Bern is taking an in-depth look at the issue of sustainability and has launched a sustainability process. Together with our partner Martina Wyrsch (Tiefgrün GmbH), we are supporting this process.
In an initial workshop, we created a common understanding of sustainability with a core team from Bühnen Bern, outlined a vision for sustainable practice at Bühnen Bern and collated relevant activities and actions already undertaken.
In order to identify the relevant environmental hotspots and to have a clear basis for the development of measures, we measured the environmental and climate footprint of the 2022/2023 season with an operational life cycle assessment.
The results served as the basis for defining fields of action and objectives and for developing and prioritising measures in a second workshop.
In the current phase, the focus is on involving employees and implementing the measures. An update on this will follow in due course.
