Preparation of decision-making bases in the competition procedure by Carbotech
As part of a building competition, the proposals submitted were checked and evaluated for compliance with sustainability aspects. The criteria are based on the established Swiss Sustainable Building Standard (SNBS), so that the results are also reliable in later phases. In addition, the criteria catalogue was supplemented with individual relevant sustainability criteria.
The procedure requires careful consideration, for example between the problematic use of grey energy combined with an improvement of the energy balance over the life cycle. To resolve these typical conflicts of objectives, we work with a comprehensible and transparent procedure and rely on established tools (e.g. SIA) for evaluating individual aspects.
