Carbotech has created an EPD for 4 lifts of the company Schindler
For an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) in accordance with ISO 14025, the environmental impacts over the entire life cycle are analysed using the life cycle assessment method and the contributions are identified and presented for all essential phases of the life cycle. The balancing requires a procedure according to product-specific rules (Product Category Rules – PCR). In the case of lift systems, the experience gained in the life cycle assessment of lift systems also contributed to the definition of the regulations. The environmental product declarations of the analyzed Schindler lift systems are registered and published under the International EPD® System program:
- Schindler 7000 high-rise Residential
- Schindler 7000 high-rise Commercial
- Schindler 3300
- Schindler 5500
Information in the form of EPDs is increasingly used in the context of energy and environmental labels for buildings and as an ecological decision-making basis for building experts and clients.
