Are your employees complaining about health problems that only occur in the workplace?
Is a tenant complaining about suspected pollutants in their home?

Pollutants in the indoor air or unpleasant odours can lead to an impairment of well-being or even trigger health complaints. The causes of problems can be very diverse. They are not always recognisable at first glance. Typical pollutants in indoor air are volatile organic compounds (VOCs), aldehydes, wood preservatives and other biocides, PCBs, heavy metals, mould and other germs or odours. Although radon and asbestos can also be present in indoor air, they do not lead to immediate symptoms but increase the risk of lung diseases in the long term.

Our clients include employers, property management companies, insurance companies and schools. Complaints from room users are often the trigger for investigations. We can advise you if you have complaints about indoor air pollutants in your office, school, nursery or home. An initial consultation usually takes place by telephone. Together we analyse the situation and define the next steps.

During an on-site inspection, we can get a comprehensive picture of the situation and, depending on the context, also interview the users of the space. We also carry out various analyses. Our measurements and sampling are always customised and aim to clarify a specific suspected pollutant and determine the actual contamination. Once the results of the analyses are available, we advise you on the interpretation and assessment of the results.

After fires and other incidents with possible contamination, we carry out pollutant measurements to check whether the rooms can be used again without health risks.

We assess the results of indoor measurements on the basis of reference values for indoor air from Switzerland (where available) and other countries, as well as on the basis of empirical values. If our surveys and the measurement results show that there is a need for action with regard to pollutant levels, we will support you in finding a solution and implementing the necessary steps. Control measurements can be used to check whether the measures have achieved the desired success.

Property management companies are increasingly being confronted with complaints from tenants about possible indoor air pollution. Healthy indoor air in office buildings is also an issue that is of increasing concern to employees. We offer customised training in the areas of indoor toxins, healthy indoor air and indoor air pollution. We are happy to share our knowledge and decades of experience and support you in dealing with such concerns.
